I was a bit discouraged by the product reviews on Amazon concerning this phone case. But, after receiving this product and testing it I understand why some people are complaining. This is not a "protective" phone case. This is a "bumper" case. If you read the full product description (click here) it clearly states that the "aluminum metal bumper provides a robust double line protection of defense against drops or knocks" and that is exactly what this product does.It has a very sleek design and provides a nice grip. It doesn't make your phone bulky or awkward to hold. If you are planning on dropping your phone off the roof then you should definitely invest in one of those expensive armor type cases. This one is designed for every day use and it does a fine job. #Kewek
