Shower Curtain Rings

Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make all the difference in the world. Like not having your shower curtain rip off the hooks, for example. I got these stainless steel shower curtain rings on Amazon. They are advertised as being "Stainless Steel, Rustproof, Friction Free, Gliding Set of 12 Hooks." There is a small notch on each side of the ring that holds the roller balls in place and keep the curtain from tangling. They come 12 to a pack and have a 10 year warranty. #xeiccobhooks

Leather Water Repellent

TriNova leather water repellent is excellent for use on shoes and jackets. As with most products of this nature you should always test on a non-visible spot before applying. Doing so helps prevent discoloration caused by many chemicals. I had no issues using TriNova on my jacket and boots. It's easy to apply. Just get a polishing cloth and rub it on. GPET Rawhide Dog Bones

 I like my dog more than I like most people. She's way cooler and more fun to be around than most of the people I know. In fact, my husband admits to being jealous of her sometimes, and I have a suspicion that my kids do too.This picture of her was taken while she was lying in my bed eyeing her new chew treat - a #GPET Rawhide Dog Bone. It is 100% natural organic rawhide. She gets an upset stomach easily so I have to be careful with giving her treats. I had hoped this would be a good solution to our problem, but she threw up shortly after eating it. My kids have a chihuahua that eats the smaller bones with no issues. These are a great value if your pup can digest them.

DreamZ Melatonin Sleep Formula

 I frequently have trouble falling asleep so I jumped at the opportunity to review this product. I have used Melatonin before so I didn't have any questions about this product, it just has a few extra ingredients. I am very pleased with the results. It helps me fall asleep and doesn't leave me groggy in the morning. As a result I feel less fatigued during the day because I'm resting better at night. I highly recommend this to anyone who is seeking an over the counter remedy for trouble sleeping. #DreamZ is available for purchase on Amazon.

Cocktail Shaker by #SHIKSHOOK

This is definitely one of the more fun reviews I have done. The product description on Amazon reads:

I used to bartend in a former life and this is much nicer than anything I ever used behind the bar. I was most impressed by the high quality of the pour spouts. Mediderm Laboratories

I got a pretty cool offer to review some products from Mediterm Laboratories. They let me go to their website and choose any three products I wanted to test. I ended up choosing:

Skin Clear Acne Kit
Eye Bag Dark Circle Eraser
Instant Face Lift Concentrate

The products are shown in their corrosponding order. I placed my order and got my package just two days later. When I opened it, the first thing I noticed was that everything felt slimy. The Face Lift Concentrate had been leaking, so I cleaned up and sent the company a quick email. It said: 
"I want to make you aware that when I received my package from FedEx the Face Lift Concentrate was leaking. The packing box did not appear damaged. When I unpacked it I noticed that the product box was damp, then I opened it to see that the bottle had been leaking. It is unclear what caused the leaking. FedEx may have jostled the packing box. It was also a rather warm day and I was concerned that the temperature may have caused the leak. I may simply have gotten a weak seal. Regardless, I want to provide you with as much feedback as possible and this was a concern to me. It was such a small amount of leakage that I was able to clean it up easily. This will not affect my ability to review the product."

The next day I got this reply:

"Thank you for reaching out to us to let us know of the issue with receiving the product. 
Please allow me to take to this issue back to our team and see if we want to ship another product to you. I will be in contact Monday afternoon. Thank you again for your feedback. "

After that I never heard back from them. No big deal, I went ahead and began using the Face Serum & Eye Cream. I gave the Acne Kit to my teenage daughter. That's when she pointed out that the kit had expired in 2012. I told her to go ahead and use it anyway and I would document the results. I didn't bother contacting the business again since they hadn't replied last time.

Aside from poor communication with the company, here are my honest and unbiased reviews for their products:

Instant Face Lift Concentrate- I used this for 7 consecutive days, applying once daily in the morning. It makes my skin feel tight on my face. I can't come up with a better way to describe it. I think it's working, but I can't see any visible results. I have super sensitive skin and this didn't cause any irritation.

Eye Bag Dark Circle Eraser- I used this for 7 consecutive days, applying once daily in the morning. It completely got rid of the dark areas under my eyes. I can see the results in the mirror. It does cause my foundation to crease which is the only disadvantage to using this product. A little goes a long way. I think they sent me a lifetime supply.

Skin Clear Acne Kit- My daughter claims this makes her face super soft and wants me to touch her cheeks every night after she uses it. It seems to help with trouble areas. I suspect it would work better if it wasn't so long out of date.

New Vitamins...

Because of my vitamin deficiencies I have been taking extra Iron, Folic Acid, Vitamin C pills as well as getting Vitamin B injections for almost a year now. It doesn't seem like a big deal until you break it down.  Once a day I take the following pills: a multivitamin, 1 Vitamin B Complex, 1 Folic Acid, 1 Vitamin C, & 200 iu of Vitamin D. On top of that I take a prescription 50,000 iu Vitamin D pill once a week and get a Vitamin B shot each month. That turns out to be a lot of pills, and a lot of money. I think I'm pretty much keeping my local pharmacy in business. I was never able to find a multivitamin with the extra dosage combination that I needed. Then my pregnant friend was complaining about her "horse pill" vitamins she had to take and I asked to see one. It turns out I just hadn't been looking in the right place. I called my doctor and got a verbal confirmation that it would be just fine for me to take prenatal vitamins in place of my regular combination. Always check with your own healthcare provider. I am not a doctor and make no medical claims.

I've actually been taking these giant pills for almost two weeks. One pill twice a day more than covers my needs and saves me about 75% of my out of pocket costs. I still have to take my prescription 50,000 iu Vitamin D pill once a week and get a Vitamin B shot each month.
